What’s working?

What’s working?

I typically have a flare up this week.
So far – so good. I realize the minute I post this I am sure to hit a major flare up to prove me wrong.
But that is okay because I have had 4 days this week that according to my calendar I should be deep in flare up and all I have experienced is my normal daily pains.
I wish I could narrow down the reason why but there are so many factors that could be the reason.
The weather for the most part has been sunny and enjoyable. Not many clouds, not high humididty.
I only worked 4 hours on Friday. I had planned on the day off so I didn’t go into work until 11:00. I had slept 11 hours. After work I had a wonderful afternoon shopping with my Daughter.
I was able to go to both of my swimming classes on Saturday a.m. (slept 9 hours) and altho I did heavy grocery shopping – I had a wonderful helper who not only helped me find the items for the cart but carried all my groceries into the house. The rest of Saturday was spent working on laundry and relaxing at the house.
On Sunday(slept another 11 hours) it was a very low key day – I mowed the lawn (was sure this would be a problem) – riding lawn mower – 2 hours – then at 2:00 – walked to a neighbors house for a graduation party. I was home by 3:00 p.m. with little to do the rest of the day.
I also had taken Monday off as a vacation day. I slept until 7:30 (10 1/2 hours) – headed to swimming at 9:00 – hit the tanning bed – and did a lot of resting inbetween a little bit of housework.
I had started wearing a metallic bracelet and ring a week ago – could that have been part of the reason?
I don’t know if it was the lack of stress – not being at work – having just my Daughter at home, the beautiful weather, the chance to get the amount of sleep that my body now requires, the reduced activities/running around that I usually do on the weekends, the time at the pool or the bracelet/ring. Maybe it is a combination of all of them.
This week – I add Malic Acid to my vitamins – on Wednesday. Malic Acid is supposed to be beneficial to your energy level.
Whatever the reasons – I am just grateful to have had these 4 extra days this month of non-flare up and hope that I can continue to find things that help reduce the frequency or the intensity.
